Hello again! lesson 5

Today's goals:

Learn about the things around you, the days of the week, the months of the year and the cardinal numbers

Work together

1. Work with the person beside you.
2. Take out your notebook.
3. Look around the classroom.
4. Write as many English words for what you see.
5. Use your dictionary if necessary.

Let's hear some classroom words

and stick some post-its!

• Every couple writes one English word of their list on a Post-it.
• When your teacher gives the sign you will stick your Post-it on the object in the classroom.
• Repeat this, but now you have to look around you. You are not allowed to stick a Post-it on an object which already has a Post-it on it. 
• Who still has classroom words which are not used yet? 

A small test

• Take a test paper from your teacher's table. 
• Always write your first name, your last name and your class at the top of the paper. 
• Listen to what to do next.
• Don't peek! 
• Done? Wait for everyone to finish!
• Your teacher will come to get your test paper.

1. Write down the days of the week in English.
2. Write down the months of the year in English.
3. Write down the numbers 1 to 20, (so: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. ... 20)

        21, 32, 43, 54, 65, 76, 87, 98 and 100

Be quiet, concentrate and wait for everyone to finish!

The rules are:

The kids sit in a large circle or you can point at a different child each time (when they are sitting in their seat). The children count in English from 1 to 101. At the number 7 or the number belonging to the table of 7 (14, 21, 49) you have to say the word BANANAS. Also with a number with the number 7 in it you have to say BANANAS (so 17, 27, 73 etc).

If a kid fails it is out of the game. 

Use the stapler to staple the stencil with the numbers 1 to 101 in your notebook

Take out your diary!

Your homework will be:

• the days of the week,
• the months of the year,
• the cardinal numbers 1 to 101.

 Your teacher will check if you did next time.
