The gerund
The gerund is a verb form ending in -ing that functions as a noun in a sentence. It is often used to express actions, activities, or states of being.

Question: "Are you interested in joining the club?"
Positive sentence: "She enjoys swimming in the ocean."
Negative sentence: "She does not enjoy swimming in the ocean."

The passive
The passive voice is a grammatical structure where the action happens to the subject instead of it performing the action. It's created by using a form of the verb "to be". 


Question: "Did the report get submitted by the deadline?"
Negative: "The mistake wasn't corrected in time."
Signal words: "The cake's being baked now."

The future tense
The future tense in English is used to describe actions or events that will happen after the present moment.

The Present Simple
Planned events in the near future, with a fixed schedule (arrival times, departure times, opening hours, closing hours, start times, end times).

Form:
 - infinitief ('sing' of 'work') 
- he/she/it (SHIT) --> infinitief + s ('sings' of 'works') 

Example:
'My bus leaves at 5.05'
'The show starts at nine o'clock'

The Present Continuous
Wanneer iets in de nabije toekomst zal plaatsvinden. Het gaat dan om dingen die afgesproken zijn (bijvoorbeeld een afspraakje, een concert of een verjaardag, die in je agenda staan) 

Form:
 - vorm van to be + ww + ing (' am singing' of 'are working')

Example:
'Tom is taking Karen out for dinner tonight.'
'We are visiting our grandparents next Saturday.'


Denk aan de vorm van 'to be'!!!

To be + going to + hele ww
Indicating what you intend to do or something that is likely to happen.

Form:
- to be + going to + hele werkwoord (''am going to watch' of 'are going to eat') 

Prediction with evidence:
Look at all those clouds. It is going to rain soon.


Example:
'I am going to study for the next test.'
'Look, it is going to rain.'



Vergeet ook hier de vorm van 'to be' niet!!

When you want to promise something or predict for the future (but it's not certain).

Form:
Will + hele werkwoord ('will be' of 'won't sleep') 

Example: 
'It will be sunny in summer. '
'He won't be late next time' 
Ontkennende vorm van will + not = won't
