Computers & Emails: Smart Digital Skills
What do you already know about computers and how to email teachers?
Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson you will know the main parts of a computer, what they do, and how to write a formal email to your teacher.
What is a Computer?
A computer is a machine that helps us do work, learn, and play. Let's learn the names of its parts!
Keyboard & Mouse
The keyboard lets you type words and numbers. The mouse helps you click, open, and move things on the screen.
The Monitor
The monitor is the screen. It shows you pictures, words, and all the things you are working on.
Let’s Play: Name That Part!
Can you point to the keyboard? Where is the mouse? Let's name all the parts together!
Sending Emails to Teachers
We use emails to send messages to our teachers. Emails need to be polite and clear.
How to Write a Formal Email
Start with "Dear Teacher". Write your message and sign your name. Always check your spelling!
Example of Emails to teachers.
Dear Miss Smith,
I am sorry to bother you, but I really need help with the homework you gave me. Could you please help me tomorrow morning with it? If not I will ask another teacher at homework help.
Thank you,
Joe Wilkinson
