Welcome to this year's English class!

Teacher can say something about the song from the Beatles. It's the ultimate summer sound for me. You yearn for the summer vacation to start, winter takes for ever. Then all of a sudden your summer holidays are over, unfortunately.

It's really nice

Je stelt een paar leerlingen eerst de eerste vraag. Je wilt ze laten antwoorden in een hele zin. Daarna stel je er een vraag bij. Dit breidt je uit tot 7 vragen

Follow the instructions!

• Listen carefully to the instructions of your teacher.
• She will tell you what to do, but she will only say the instruction once. So you really have to be quiet and listen carefully!
• After every instruction you sit down on your chair!
• (Now turn off the blackboard)

• If you are 13 years old, please stand up. 
• If you are 14 years old, please stand up. 
• If you have a little sister, please stand up. 
• All of you, climb on top of your chair.
• Now, clap your hands four times.
• Touch your right shoe with your left hand. But be careful!
• Sit down if your favourite activity is gaming.  I have to write your names down because you probably are good at English!
• Now get off your chair and sit down, please.
• Stand up everybody!
• If you play football, ... please sit down.
• If you play basketball, volleyball, ... sit down!

• Please, stand behind your chair.
• Stand up straight and close your eyes. No peeking! Raise your hand if the color of your shoe is brown/white/black. 
• All of you, sit down, please!
• Stand up if you like to read books. 
• Stand up if you drink coffee.
• Stand up if you have ever smoked a cigarette.
• Stand up if you play an instrument.
• Stand up if you don't  like ... SCHOOL!

• First of all, when you enter the classroom, look at the map! 

• You will sit there the first period of this schoolyear.

Don't feel sad about it! You get used to it.

On arrival you ALWAYS put your phone in the phone bag. YES, ALWAYS!

Unless you have a really good reason. 

But then I would like to know about it.

Count down

At the beginning of the class there is a timer on the digiboard with 3 min. on the clock.

What will you do during these 3 minutes?

• Take out your ipad
• Put it on your table faced down.
• You can still talk a little bit with your neighbour . You stay in your seat.
• Your teacher will start the lesson after the timer goes off.

Don't talk while your teacher is talking, but that's obvious :)

I hate loud noises! It gives me a headache.

Traffic light

• Red: NO talking at all!
• Orange: talk in a whisper
• Green: You can talk/consult each other
