Instead of using words like very and quite infront of extreme adjectives, we use absolutely, completely, really or totally

  • Exercise 1 - In pairs - choose who will go first. 
  • The first person will speak non-stop for one minute about photo A. 
  • Then we switch! The second person will then speak for one minute non-stop.

Past perfect simple
  • Used to describe a past event that happened before another past event. Geen link naar heden!

  • He couldn't open the door because he had lost his key.  --> 1. sleutel verloren 2. deur niet kunnen openen.

  • We gebruiken past perfect simple voor hetgeen dat  als eerste gebeurde en de past simple voor wat daarna gebeurde.
