Two tasks
part 1: email, memo or short note 40-50 words
part 2: report, proposal, letter 120 - 140 words

Successful completion of the task
- fulfill all parts of the task appropriately
- keep to the word limit 
- show a range of vocabulary - avoid repeating words
- decide where to rephrase or expand information given
- organise your ideas:
addition - also, as well, furthermore, etc.  
contrast - although, however, etc.
sequencing - Firstly, secondly, next, finally etc. 
- Use paragraphs, titles, headings in reports and proposals

  1. The task:  a report, proposal or business correspondence
  2. Read the question, the text, other input and the handwritten notes.
  3. Ensure you understand WHAT you are writing about and WHO you are writing to and WHY you are writing.
  4. Choose the right format: a letter,  report or proposal
  5. Make a short plan on paper first with the topics to cover.
