What Is Express Drive?

Express Drive is a Program Lyft offers to get more Drivers on the road, by offering Rental Cars through their app. It Offers Drivers the option to get their rental at a discount or even free if they meet ride requirements in their region.

What are the benefits of this Program? 

It is  more economically efficient, and it also makes for a higher volume of drivers. I.e., Less wait time for passengers. There is no long term commitment, and there are unlimited miles for personal use after your quota is met. 

Express Drive Qualifications

• You must be 25+ years old to rent a vehicle through Hertz (at participating locations) or through Flexdrive (available only in select markets)
• Successful DMV and Background Check. Drivers are given 10 DAYS TO CONTEST THE RESULTS.
• Have a Valid License and One year of Driving Experience
• Identification from any US territory excluding: Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, or other outlying US territories.

Can Drivers Still Use their personal Vehicle for lyft while participating in Express Drive? 

The Answer is Yes. Car Switching allows drivers to switch between cars. Rides completed in personal vehicle still count towards  Weekly Ride Requirements.

What are Rental Rewards? 

There are Weekly Ride Requirements. If you Hit the requirements, we automatically add the bonus amount to your earnings for the week. This covers most rental charges. Note: Rental Rewards never cover rental taxes. Basically, Its how you get a free car to use.

Accelerate Rewards Program

There are three levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each time you level up, you'll have access to the rewards from lower levels, too. A Platinum Status driver has access to rewards in all three levels.

Can Drivers Use their Rental for Personal purposes?

Yes!!! With Express Drive, Our partners offer unlimited miles as a standard perk. You may use the rental car as you see fit, excepting out of state trips. You may only go out of state on official Lyft business.

Sign on bonuses For Express Drivers

Currently there are not sign on bonuses for Express Drivers, however, they can still refer other drivers and receive rewards for doing so. 

Weekly Earnings Guarantee

If Lyft offers a promo to Drivers that says they will receive $100 dollars for giving X amount of rides during the week, but their payout is only $90, Lyft will Bonus the Extra $10. Simply put, right?

Fees, Tolls, And Tickets

Driver is responsible for taxes and fees such as late returns, re-fueling, tolls, and tickets. For more information on their weekly rental rate, please have DVR view rental agreement. Tolls and Tickets are Taxed at 15%.  All Rentals require a refundable deposit variable based on region. All Fees are regional.

Accidents: Insurance, and Protocol

Drivers Receive insurance through our company and its partners When participating in Express Drive. Dependent upon your mode of driving (Offline, en route to passenger, ride in progress), they will receive different types of coverage. Remind driver to call 911 and file incident report in help center.
