Past Simple: uses
We use the PAST SIMPLE for actions that started and finished in the past. 

Signal words are: yesterday, last week, last year, in 1994, five hours ago, etc.
  • I saw a movie yesterday.
  • I didn't see a play last week.
  • Last year, I travelled to Japan.
  • In 2002, I didn't travel to Korea.
  • Did you have dinner last night?
  • She washed her car an hour ago.
He didn't wash his car.

Past Simple: Positives
- We just need our main verb, in its past tense. We add -ed behind regular verbs, and the irregular verbs you need to know by heart.
