Spelling exceptions:
-o: go -> goes, do -> does
-s: miss -> misses, relax -> relaxes
-y: ies: cry -> cries, study -> studies

Irregular: have -> has

When you talk about habits, you use adverbs of frequency:
  • Always
  • Often
  • Usually
  • Sometimes
  • Never

    -> BEFORE the main verb but AFTER the verb be


or time adverbials:

  • Every week
  • Every ……
  • On Mondays
  • On ……
  • At the weekend ……

->At the beginning OR end of sentence

When to use it
We use the Present Simple
  1. to talk about facts:
    Plants need water.  
  2. to talk about habits / routines / regular activities:
    I play tennis every Friday.
  3. to talk about opinions:
    Joe hates school, but Molly loves it!
