I - Indirect and reported speech

'We don't like shopping', she said.   
 

She said they didn't like shopping.

Now look for your classmates who have the same combinations. Find each other and form a group of three/four.

What was the rule?

Change into reported speech:
'It has been too long since I have played this game,' my brother said.

Change into reported speech:
'Who is talking to you on the computer?' my mother asked.

Watch the video. Pay attention to the information, but also try to write down three things Tim Urban says. Write this down in direct speech. 

'The funniest thing happened', Tim said.

What did you hear? 

While saying your answer, say it in reported speech.

Example:     'The funniest thing happened', Tim said.

Reported speech:

Tim said that the funniest thing had happened.

Now write a short report in which you only use reported speech! What did Tim Urban say? Use the quotes (notes) you've already written down.
