Question Tags
Grammar is cool, isn't it?
question tags.

Slide 14 - Slide

Question Tags

Slide 15 - Slide

Question Tags
Voorbeelden:
He is a teacher at this school, isn't he?
(Zin voor de komma = + dus na de komma = - )

They can't speak Dutch, can they?
(zin voor de komma = - dus na de komma = + )

Slide 16 - Slide

Question tags
Dit zijn de vormen van het werkwoord to be (am/is/are) of hulpwerkwoorden (can, have, Should, could, would)
Als deze woorden niet in het eerste gedeelte staan moet je do/does of did gebruiken in de question tag.
(do/does = tegenwoordige tijd en did = verleden tijd)

Slide 17 - Slide

Question Tags
Voorbeelden
They are working hard, aren't they?
You can speak English, can't you?
We need to study this for the test, don't we?
They work together, don't they?
She sings in that pop group, doesn't she?
He doesn't go to school every day, does he?

Slide 18 - Slide

Question tags
Het onderwerp van de zin moet je soms vervangen door I, you, he, she, it, we, they of there.
Staat er een naam of bijvoorbeeld 'The boy' of 'The girl' dan moet je in de question tag he of she gebruiken.

Slide 19 - Slide

Question tags
Voorbeelden
She plays the piano quite well, doesn't she?
Karen is quite a good singer, isn't she?
They aren't at home, are they?
A  stray cat drank all the milk, didn't it?
Brad and Brenda are married, aren't they?
Carl didn't come home last night, did he?
