The Present Simple (heel zeker)

Gebruik:

Geplande gebeurtenissen in de nabije toekomst , met een vast tijdschema (aankomst-, vertrektijden, openings-, sluitingstijden, begin-, eindtijden) 

Vorm:

 - infinitief ('sing' of 'work') 

- bij he/she/it (SHIT) --> infinitief + s ('sings' of 'works') 

Voorbeeld:

'My bus leaves at 5.05'

'The show starts at nine o'clock'

The Present Continuous (zeker)

Gebruik:

Wanneer iets in de nabije toekomst zal plaatsvinden. Het gaat dan om dingen die afgesproken zijn (bijvoorbeeld een afspraakje, een concert of een verjaardag, die in je agenda staan) 

Vorm:

 - vorm van to be + ww + ing (' am singing' of 'are working')

Voorbeeld:

'Tom is taking Karen out for dinner tonight.'

'We are visiting our grandparents next Saturday.'

Denk aan de vorm van 'to be'!!!

To be + going to + hele ww

(waarschijnlijk)

Gebruik:

Aangeven wat je van plan bent of iets dat waarschijnlijk zal gebeuren. 

Vorm:

- to be + going to + hele werkwoord (''am going to watch' of 'are going to eat') 

Voorbeeld:

'I am going to study for the next test.'

'Look, it is going to rain.'

Vergeet ook hier de vorm van 'to be' niet!! 

will + hele werkwoord (niet zeker)

Gebruik:

Als je iets wil beloven of voorspellen voor de toekomst (maar het is niet zeker) 

Vorm:

Will + hele werkwoord ('will be' of 'won't sleep') 

Voorbeeld: 

'It will be sunny in summer. '

'He won't be late next time' 

Ontkennende vorm van will + not = won't 

Questions with will and shall

For questions you use:

shall with we and I  

'Shall we go to the swimming pool?'

will with you, he / she / it and they

'Will Liz travel the world after she finishes secondary school?'

To be going to	waarchijnlijk	- als iemand in de toekomst iets wel/niet van plan is - voorspelling met bewijs/	Am/are/is + going to + hele werkwoord	Look at those clouds, it is going to rain soon.
Future shall/wil	onzeker	- om iets aan te bieden - beloftes/besluiten - voorspelling zonder bewijs	Will + hele werkwoord Shall bij vragen	Sh all we call taxi? I think the weather will be great tomorrow.
