Linking words

We use Linking words to join ideas, clauses and phrases. They indicate a certain link. 

Sentence without a linking word: 

I'm turning off the TV. 

It's time to go to bed. 

Sentence with a linking word: 

I'm turning off the TV because it's time to go to bed.
