Past Simple

Use: something happened and it is finished. We know when it happened.
Rule: +    Regular > verb+ed                    Irregular > own form 
            -    didn't + verb                                 
            ?    Did ... + verb                                 
Keywords: yesterday, the day before yesterday, last week/month.year, 5 years ago, in 2011

Use: when something was happening at a certain moment in the past.
Form: + was/were + (verb+ing)
             - wasn't/weren't + (verb+ing)
             ? Was/Were ... + (verb+ing) ?
Keywords: while, when.

Exercise: how to correctly use the past continuous.

- Write two sentences about something you were doing yesterday/last week(end). 
- Use keyword 'while' in one sentence and keyword 'when' in the other. 
- Sentences are at least 6 words long.
