The Romeo & Juliet project.
Voor dit project bekijken we ieder schooljaar de film op school, waarna de leerlingen aan de slag gaan met een groot aanbod verschillende opdrachten. Dit resulteert uiteindelijk in een 2-toets cijfer voor Engels. Om dit mogelijk te maken, organiseren we a.s. dinsdag in het theater een filmmiddag voor deze jaarlagen tijdens het 6e en 7e uur.

Getting to Know You (10 min of lesson time)
In  pairs 
Take it in turns to ask and answer the questions (flash cards)
You have one minute per student

Practice Part 2 – Photo Comparison (15 min lesson time)
Instructions:
One student talks for 1 minute comparing two photos.

Prompt: “Compare the photos and say what the people might be doing and how they might be feeling.”
Partner listens and gives a 20-second comment.

Tips:Use comparative structures and speculation (might be, could be, seems like).

Practice Part 3 – Collaborative Task (15 min lesson time)
Word web (e.g. "Ways to spend a weekend" / "How to improve a school")
Instructions:
Pairs discuss options on a visual prompt.
They should:
Express opinions
Agree/disagree
Make a decision at the end

Example prompt:
“Here are some ways teenagers can spend a weekend. Talk together about which would be the most fun, and decide which is the best overall.”
