                                             Personal email (=informal)
Hey Liz,

How's it going? Sorry I haven't been in touch for ages. I wanted to write, but it's been so busy at work as usual. How's life? Are you still enjoying Madrid?
I hope you job is less crazy than the last time I talked to you!

So, I just wanted to ask if you're doing anything on 16th July. I have some relatives who live near Madrid and they've asked me to come over to their place for a party in the afternoon. Do you fancy coming with me?
We can stay with mu uncle and aunt for the weekend, so it wouldn't be expensive.
It's not a really formal thing, by the way, it's just going to be a big picnic so casual clothes will be fine.

Anyway, let me know what you think and we can make some plans. It would be awesome to get together again!

Speak soon!

All the best,

Fran
