  1. A debate always has arguments that you can clarify and support (usually with facts).
  2. You listen to your opponent and give counter arguments.
  3. You can't always pick if you agree or disagree with the statement.

  1. Work with a fellow student and have the telephone conversations. Each choose one of the options and think of the details yourself.
  2. You call a friend to ask if he/she wants to go out to a certain pub tonight. His/her brother answers the phone.
  3. You call the hospital to reschedule an appointment. The receptionist at the main desk takes your call.
  4. You call a taxi company and ask if they can bring you to a certain address at a certain time. A telephone operator takes your call.
