How do we continue?
-I will evaluate your SOs and grade them. Most importantly, I will give you feedback to help you prepare on the content of the speaking test. 
- In class, we will practice every week on speaking skills. I will also try to pick one group per class that can work in a smaller group and which I will give feedback on speaking.

What does it look like?
  • 20 minutes in total 
  • (1) you talk to me about the article in English (what/who/where/when/how etc.), you can answer questions about it, voice your opinon about it with arguments. 
  • (2) Description of pictures
  • (3)  a personal interview OR a discussion in English. 
  • Make sure to bring the material with you to the speaking exam. 
  • You will be graded on: grammar, fluency, vocab, preparation, coherency,

Some advice 
  • Besides practice in class, you can learn a few expressions to use during the speaking exam (see next slides). 
  • Make sure that you know your subject (the article), your opinion and that you can describe a picture, talk about your own life or a do discussion in English. 
  • You can listen to podcasts, series, films in English. I don't mind the accent you use as long as it is understandable and correct English. 
  • Practice speaking English with classmates or at home with family.
