Dit weet je al: 

Naam	Vorm	Gebruik	Signaalwoorden
Present simple	Hele werkwoord / hele werkwoord + s	Feiten, situaties, gewoontes	Always, usually, sometimes, never, often, on Weekdays, every day etc.
Present continuous	am/is/are + hele werkwoord+ ing	Dingen die nu bezig zijn.	Right now, now, at the moment, look! listen!

Present Simple

Als iets altijd (feit), nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.

Signaalwoorden: 

always, never,

often, usually,

regularly, sometimes,

hardly ever, every day

Present Continuous

Om aan te geven dat iets nu aan de gang is. 

Signaalwoorden: 

now

at the moment

right now

Present simple ook voor: 

- Toekomst, voor dingen die je op kunt zoeken, die gepland staan en toch wel doorgaan, ook als jij er niet bij bent. 

- Toekomst: in uitdrukkingen. I will join you as soon as it stops raining. 

Present continuous ook voor:

- Tijdelijke gewoontes

- Irritante gewoontes

- Dingen in de toekomst die al geregeld, geboekt, afgesproken, betaald zijn.
