Indirecte rede

De indirecte rede gebruik je om iets te vertellen dat iemand anders iets op een ander moment  heeft gezegd.

Direct

Wendy said: 'I work at Google'.

Michael explained: 'I am painting the house.'

Indirect

Wendy said she worked at Google.

Michael explained that he was painting the house.

Changes

Omdat de Indirecte Rede  altijd gaat over iets wat al gezegd is, gebruik je de verleden tijd:

My boss said: 'He is a really difficult customer.'

My boss said that he was a really difficult customer.

Changes

Vaak moet je ook het persoonlijk voornaamwoord veranderen:

Toby said: "I'm living in London."

Toby said that he was living in London.
