Past Continuous (verleden tijd met -ing)

Vorm: was/were + -ing
  • I was reading a book.
  • You were doing homework.
  • She was playing the guitar.

Zet in de juiste vorm. Gebruik de Past Continuous:
  1. I _____ (typing) this exercise when my son interrupted me.
  2. My sister _____ (to sing) that annoying song again, so I hit her.
  3. Her brothers _____ (to eat) all the chocolates that she bought.
  4. You _____ (to watch) the series when I came in.

Slide 15 - Slide

Past Simple vs Past Continuous

  • He was doing his homework when his mother said dinner was ready.
  • They were having dinner when the doorbell rang.
  • She saw a squirrel when she was walking to school.
