The two places are approximately the same in size but they look very different. In New York, there isn’t a lot of open space and not a lot of green. The whole city is full of appartements and houses, which indicate that a lot of people live there. In Russia, it’s the opposite. Not a lot of houses, not a lot of people live there. A place where a lot of people live together is called a densely populated area. A place where not a lot of people live together is a sparsely populated area.

This is Mirza from Dhaka.
Hello, I am Grandma Mirza. I am 80 years old and would like to tell you about my life, my country, my city and my family.I was born in Dhaka, in Bangladesh. Have you been there? Probably not, not many people from other countries come here. It is very busy here, everywhere I look, I see people, buildings, cars, mopeds ... The air always looks grey with exhaust fumes. I live in a small flat on the seventh floor, between the railway and one of the bus stations. There are seven of us living there, one of my sons with his wife, my grandson, a granddaughter with her husband and baby Bosu. Bosu is my fourth great-grandchild. It is a bit cramped at the little flat, but soon my granddaughter will move to another city with her husband and Bosu. Then we will have more space again!
