We  talked about the  Present  Simple. What do we remember from  it?

We want to talk about how often we do things. What are words in Dutch that say how often we do things?

How  do  you  say it in  English and where do we put those words?

These words...

...are called adverbs of frequency. They  are words that tell us how often things are done. Put where do  we put them in the sentence.

Take a look at these examples:

I am always late for school.

She is never hungry or thirsty.

They are often asleep at  12.

My sister is usually very friendly.

My friends are hardly ever in trouble.

We are sometimes sad.

I always go to school by  bike.

She never eats breakfast.

They often watch a film at night.

My sister usually goes to bed at 9.

My friends hardly ever call me at night.

We sometimes eat food I don't like.

Adverbs  of  frequency go  after the verb be (zijn).
