Korte antwoorden in het Engels.

In het Nederlands geef je vaak kort met 'ja' of 'nee' antwoord op een vraag; als het gaat om de omgangsvormen in een Engelstalig land (of je nu naar Canada of Schotland gaat) is het gepast om kort het werkwoord te herhalen. Dus dan krijg je dit..

"Ben je naar de bioscoop geweest vorige week?"  - antwoord: "ja / nee.. "

Let op! Kijk goed naar het onderwerp in de zin.. je wilt zo kort mogelijk antwoorden. Je vervangt die door: 'i', 'you', 'he', 'she', 'it', 'we', 'they'.

Do your uncle and aunt own a car? - Yes they do / No, they don't 

Can the car break down easily?  - yes, it can / no, it can't
