Telephone game
*The first person in line will get a card with a phrase on it.
*Whisper the phrase to the person next to you, be very quiet so other people can't hear it yet.
*Then, whisper the phrase to your neighbour.
* Let's see what phrase we get at the end of the line!
*Goals: listening to eachother and teamwork.

What are you going to do?
*You will create a vlog of between 2 to 3 minutes in which you tell your audience (your classmates and teacher) about your hobby.
 *To help you structure your vlog, you will write your ideas down in your design form.  You will receive feedback on your design.
*Upload your vlog to YouTube.

Have checked your topic with your teacher.

What will you learn?

Skill 1: Practising your speaking skills and expressing yourself.
Skill 2: Structuring a presentation.
Skill 3: Looking critically and the ideas and work of others and giving feedback.
These are useful skills you will need in your future job when collaborating with others every day.

What does a vlog look like?
Start with an introduction; welcome the viewers and briefly tell them what your vlog will be about.
Body of the vlog: talk about the subject you introduced earlier. Use linking words to connect the different parts of your vlog.
Conclusion: end your vlog by summarizing the key points from the vlog and thanking the viewers. You can ask the viewer to engage with the vlog by liking and leaving a comment.

What to do in this lesson
*Think about the topic of your vlog and once you have found one, run it past your teacher first for approval.

*Begin researching your for your topic, and write down your design plans in the design form. Next lesson you will receive feedback from your peers!

*Then, think about how you want to film, are you going to sit down in front of the camera, or are you going to film yourself showing your hobby?

Elements to include if:
Your hobby is a sport: Where did this sport originate and when? How is this sport played? Explain the rules of the game.
 How long have you been playing this sport? 
What do you like about this sport?
 Who is your biggest inspiration? 
If possible, show a clip of yourself playing the sport. If that's not possible, show other footage of the sport you find interesting.
To whom would you recommend this sport?

Your hobby is gaming: 
Tell us something about the history of videogames, what was the first videogame and how was it played?
How long have you been playing games? 
What do you like most about gaming? 
What is your favourite game? How is your favourite game played and what are the rules? 
If you had to change one thing about this game, what would it be?
Is there a game that you do not enjoy playing? Why?

Your hobby is: watching shows/movies
What is a show/movie you have been enjoying recently? What is the genre? What do you like about it? Who stars in the show? Who directed it? How many stars would you give this show? To whom would you recommend this show? If you had change one thing about this show/movie, what would it be?

Your hobby is something creative (painting, drawing, sewing ect..
How long have you been practising this art? Why do you like it? Where do you get your inspiration from? Would you recommend others give this art form a try? Include some of your own work or work that has inspired you.
