As you know, there is a regular pattern in English sentences:
wie / doet / wat / waar / wanneer.

He - watched - a film - on television - last weekend.

Wie - doet - wat - waar - wanneer

Slide 6 - Slide

You can also add an adjective to a sentence. An adjective says something about a noun. When using one, you can place the adjective in front of the noun.

He watched a funny film.
They bought a lovely dress.
We had a good time.

Slide 7 - Slide

Sometimes, you put the adjective after the verb. In such a case, the adjective will give you more information about the subject in the sentence.
This often happens with the verbs to be, look, appear en seem.
She looks amazing in my new dress.
I am curious to see that new film.
They seem focused on their singing careers.
