Aims

You can use the correct form of the future tense.

Choose: in class or work individually.

Which sentences are in the future tense?

1. I will help you tomorrow.
2. I'm playing football on Saturday.
3. I am going to play football.
4. He helps you every day.

Which one is correct?

1. She will help you tomorrow.
2. She going to help you tomorrow.
3. She shall help you tomorrow.

Choose:

The future

1) Be going to + base form --> I am going to go to Spain this summer.

2) Will + base form --> I will take the train to the airport.

3) Present Continuous --> I am going to fly from Amsterdam.

4) Present Simple - The bus leaves at nine

2) shall i.p.v. will

Je gebruikt shall in plaats van will bij:

Vraagzinnen met I of We als onderwerp en om een voorstel te maken.

Shall we go to bed?

Shall I help you?

3) Present Continuous

Toekomstige plannen waarvan iets al vastligt.

I'm meeting Jim at the airpot. (met Jim besproken)

I am leaving tomorrow. (kaartje al gekocht)

We're having a staff meeting on Monday. (email gehad)

4) Present Simple

tijdschema's, dienstregelingen, roosters

We take the bus at nine.

The train departs from platform 8.
