The Odyssey is an epic poem about Odysseus’ long journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. It’s filled with danger, adventure, and lessons about perseverance.

Odysseus was king of Ithaca, famous for his intelligence and bravery. His cleverness helped him survive challenges far from home.

Beginning the Journey

Odysseus leaves Troy, eager to return home. The gods, especially Poseidon, make his journey long and challenging.
