  • base form + LY (mind spelling changes)
  • EXCEPTIONS are: LONG/FAST/HARD (only 1 form exists) , LATELY/QUIETLY (only 1 form exists) and GOOD > WELL
  • adverbs that modify verbs about the senses (taste/sound/feel/look/smell) are used in their base form

That is an extremely fast car.
He speaks English very well.
