Is God Really There?
God created the world.
We see awesome things designed by God.
The world is built with design, pattern and order.
Truth, goodness, beauty, love must come from someone who is true, good, beautiful and loving.
People have a built-in sense of right and wrong.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
... the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.
1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it.
Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!
Slide 6 - Slide
How can we get to know God?
We can learn from the Bible
Look at Nature
Listen to the Holy Spirit
Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
