Present perfect
  • We use the past perfect to talk about experiences/events in the past.

I have eaten a bug.
I have gone to Tokyo.

Present perfect
  • We make the present perfect by  using 'have' / 'has' + the past participle
  • He, she, and it use has
  • The rest uses have
  • You make the past participle by adding 'ed' to regular verbs (for example, 'play' becomes 'played')

Example: He has walked on fire.

Present perfect negations
  • To make a negation in the present perfect, you simply add not after have/has.

Example: I haven't eaten bugs.

Example: She hasn't been to Peru.
