Text 5: Two ways to learn

(1) Students often use two methods to learn new words: flashcards and reading. The former is fast and focused. The latter is slower, but it shows how words work in a sentence.

(2) That is why many teachers recommend combining them. Doing so costs only a little extra time each day.
