Professional Bodies in Tourism

Professional bodies set industry standards, provide training, and advocate for members.

Regulatory Bodies

Regulatory bodies enforce laws and regulations. They ensure safety, security, and quality in tourism.

An example is the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Public Sector

The public sector includes government agencies that create policies, promote tourism, and manage public resources. They often fund infrastructure.

Private Sector

The private sector comprises businesses offering tourism and event services, such as hotels, airlines, event management companies and travel agencies. They drive innovation and economic growth.

Voluntary Sector

The voluntary sector includes non-profit organisations and community groups. They focus on sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, and volunteering.
