Area of a Sector

The area of a sector is calculated using the formula: (θ/360) × π × r², where θ is the angle in degrees and r is the radius.

Law of Indices

The laws of indices include multiplication and division of powers, power of a power, and zero and negative indices.

Law of Logarithms

The laws of logarithms include product, quotient, and power rules. Used for simplifying log expressions.

Quadratic Equations

Quadratic equations are in the form ax² + bx + c = 0. Solutions can be found using factorisation, completing the square, or the quadratic formula.

Sine Rule

The Sine Rule: a/sin A = b/sin B = c/sin C, relates the sides and angles of any triangle.

Cosine Rule

The Cosine Rule: c² = a² + b² - 2ab cos C, helps find a side or angle in any triangle.

Volume of a Cone

The volume of a cone is given by V = (1/3)πr²h, where r is the radius and h is the height.

Volume of a Cylinder

The volume of a cylinder is V = πr²h, where r is the radius of the base and h is the height.
