When do we use it?
When something happened in the past and continues in the present. It is important at the time of speaking. There is a connection to the here and now. 
We have washed the car. It's now clean.

Also about events and experiences up to the present
I've had a headache for two weeks.

have/has + past participle 
I've gone home. 
She's gone home.

regular verbs (-ed), irregular verbs (3rd form)
TIP!
Signal words: juf(just, until, for) en (ever, never) sysar (since, yet, so far, already. recently)
