Unseen extract preparation 

1. We have explored for non-fiction BOWs for the following text types: advertisement, (war) photography, opinion column and political cartoon
   
2. Your group will be given an extract from one of these text type. 
   
3. In the MB files paper 1 you will find a  "cheat sheet" for the text type that you have. Download the file
   
4. Annotate your extract and complete your cheat sheet. You have 30 mins
   
5. Upload, in the drop box your completed cheat sheet. Give me your annotated extract. 
   
6. Subject specific terminology means language that describes techniques that are most likely to be found in your text type, not your extract. 
7. Academic language means language that is used to describe the effect on the reader or link your ideas together. 
8. Try to use the knowledge that your group has in their exercise book and head.
