What is the Present Simple?

The present simple is a verb tense used to describe regular actions, general truths, and habits. It is formed by adding '-s' or '-es' to the base form of the verb for third-person singular subjects.

Structure of Present Simple

Subject + Verb (base form) + -s/-es (for third-person singular subjects)
