Je gebruikt going to:

• Wanneer je iets al besloten of gepland hebt voordat je het uitspreekt. 

I am going to call the doctor tomorrow.

• Wanneer je een voorspelling gebasseerd op feiten of zichtbaar bewijs.

Will 

Je gebruikt Will:

• Wanneer je een beslissing maakt terwijl je iets zegt.

I will call the doctor for you.

• Wanneer je een voorspelling doet zonder bewijs.

I think we will win our game tomorrow. 

• Wanneer je iets aanbiedt of voorstelt.

Shall we go out tonight? Will she have some coffee? 

Vraagzinnen

Wanneer je iets voorstelt of aanbiedt gebruik je vaak 'will' in de vragende vorm. 

Dan staat 'will/shall' vooraan in de zin.

Will you come with me?

Shall I make you some dinner?

Waarom gebruiken we 'will' in de zin:
I will call the doctor for you.

1. Omdat iemand wil dat je dat doet
2. Omdat je het nog gaat doen
3. Omdat het een nood situatie is
4. Omdat je het NU besluit te doen

Waarom gebruik je 'going to' in de zin:
I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow.

1. Omdat je het voor jezelf doet.
2. Omdat het al gepland staat.
3. Omdat je er naar uitkijkt om de dokter te bellen.
4. Omdat er zichtbaar bewijs voor is.
