Lesson goals

1. Understand the differences between "to be going to," "will," and "shall" when talking about the future.
2. Create sentences using "to be going to" for talking about future plans and things we want to do.
   
3. Make sentences with "will" for saying what we decide to do in the moment or what we think will happen.
   
4. Use "shall" to suggest things or offer help.

THE FUTURE

You use the future when you are making plans with friends.

You use the future when you predict which team will win.

You use the future when you promise your mother that you will study.

So you use the future tense in regular conversation

The future tenses will also be a part of your test in January.
