Dit zijn bijwoorden die iets zeggen over hoe je iets doet.

Adverbs of manner

Om bijwoorden te maken van bijvoeglijke naamwoorden hoef je slechts

-ly toe te voegen.

Bijvoorbeeld: soft > softly/sweet > sweetly

Adverbs of manner

Bij woorden die al eindigen op -y verander je het in -ily.

Bijvoorbeeld: angry > angrily/ happy > happily

Sommige bijwoorden zijn onregelmatig (bad > worse) en sommigen veranderen niet van uitgang (early, hard,straight)
