4.4 Verb Patterns
When do we use to + infitive (such as to go or to walk) & when do we use the continuous (verb+ing form)?

to + infinitive after: agree, decide, forget, learn, remember, need, try, want, would like
verb+ing after: can't stand, don't mind, enjoy, finish, hate, keep, like, love, prefer, stop

4.7 Relative Clauses
Who/which/that/where.

People: who or that
Things: which or that
Places: where

Slide 15 - Slide

5.2 Adverbs of Manner
Adjectives -> nouns (that quick car)
Adverbs -> verbs (that car goes quickly)
Depending on what you modify (are you saying something about the car, a noun, or about how it goes, a verb?)

Usually: adverb = adjective + ly (quick -> quickly)
Note on ending with -y: -y becomes -ily (angry -> angrily)

Slide 16 - Slide

Exceptions
Some adverbs stay the same:
hard, fast, right, wrong, early and late
do not change.

The adverb of good is well.
Note the difference!

Slide 17 - Slide

5.4 Modal Verbs
Can
- We use can to talk about rules that other people make for us
Have to
- We use have to to say something is necessary
Must
- Similar to have to
Note: there is a difference between haven't to and musn't!

Slide 18 - Slide

Haven't to vs Musn't
You don't have to go to school = study day for teachers, day off! (you can go, but you don't have to)

You musn't go to school = don't! stay in quarantine!
(you are not allowed to go at all)

So, don't have to means you still could, but musn't means no!
