What are we going to make?

• An English Promotion video about the Erasmus Exchange Program
  
  
• You + buddy are going to show the ins and outs of this week (the exchange), ambiance, cultural experiences, activities during this week, the food you eat, your thoughts etc...
  
• Convince students at home (at your school) to participate in an experience like this!
  
• We will be showing the video's on friday (closing party)

Promotion video

• Lets make a web of positive words about the exchange program, therefore we can utilize these topics in our promo video!
• What do you learn /hope to learn/ have you already learned about being in a (educational) exchange program?
  
  
• Each duo comes up with an answer!

• Middle part: a variety of shots throughout the week during activities > Editing today + during the week

• A welcoming word (introduction) towards everyone watching
• Brief explanation about the Erasmus exchange
  (your country >Amsterdam)
• Introduce your buddy and your obligations towards eachother 
  
•  Make it unique/ fun! > 
• Let's read the 'possible' script, but make it your own and use topics from our word web!

Let's have a look at the example video I did, with all the editing skills already in there...NOTE: We will be editing after filming the intro + outro ...no worries. 

Ofcourse you can do it your own way or take my introduction as a basis.

Note: bad quality (Ipad at home)+ green screen in front of the school...

Today: Promo video, introduction

• First decide what each of you is going to say
  (or take mine as the basis and adapt to make it your own)
• Script writing if needed. 
  
• When done? Let's shoot! Go outside, choose a nice location
• Speak loudly! ALWAYS use the back camera!
• Film horizontal or vertical (be consistent)
• Choose 2/3 camera perspectives to use during introduction!> last page
• Come back when you are done (at least 30 min) or start filming the outro already (if done earlier)

Editing > Capcut

•   Open 'capcut' in your browser or on your phone (download)
  
  
• Make a free account (with emailadress, own password, and confirm with code received via email)
  
  
•  Make sure that the language is in English! + and press
  'new project/video'

Today: Promo video, introduction

 Place the video's in a map on your phone, don't loose them!

Open the app Capcut

Press "new project"

Select the shots you just filmed. 

Now we start editing!

What type of editing skills did you see? 

• Voice over
• Use of stickers
• Text on screen (colours/font)
• Sound effects (audio -> voice record is possible as well)
• Background music
• Different transitions (animations between takes)
• Zoom ins-outs  -> Keyframes (starting point-end point)
• Subtitles

Start editing

Be aware to not use PRO functions, you can not share the video when used !

• FIRST: Edit you introduction
• (use: subtitles, music, sound effects, stickers, text, key frames etc!)
  
  
• SECOND: add all your photos + videos from the past three days (start editing)
  Keep on adding video's and photos this thursday+friday: Plan ahead!  (see criteria for ideas)
  
• Air drop or text each other video's or photo's if needed. 
  
  
• THIRD: Make a fun outro! 
• For Example: "We had an amazing/fun/interesting week in Amsterdam, thanks for watching and untill next time! Byeeee"

Add: background shot for your greenscreen

Press:  underlay> add video of you talking

Press this talking video and press remove BG, auto > lines (no PRO features)

Make yourself smaller or bigger to your liking. 

Press: sound> voice over to start recording 

Start editing

Iphone: Select airdrop on your phone and send it to the ipad HLZ

OR go to WETRANSFER en send the video to [e-mail]

Email to your buddy's email and upload all the introduction shots

 

• Open on ipad/laptop email

• Upload the files where you saved them, that's all

> Feel free to already edit 

> Not much storage? Do this every day, and delete on phone.
