The Russian Revolution of 1917 is a reference to Russian communism, created by the people who rebelled against the monarchy. It presents us with dictatorship disguised as communism and promises of equality.

In Animal Farm, the animals rise up against the farmer to create a society where everyone is equal and free. At first, they triumph, but little by little, the pigs, who assume leadership, begin to abuse their power. Equality disappears, and the farm ends up becoming a dictatorship disguised as justice, showing how ideals can be corrupted.
