How do the caretakers support the orphaned children at Henny's Children's Home?

Slide 4 - Open question

Albinism
Some of the children are orphaned because they suffer from Albinism. Albinism is an inherited condition that leads to someone having very light skin, hair, and eyes. It happens because people suffering from albinism have less melanin than usual in their body. Melanin gives skin, hair, and eyes their color. Some Kenyan minorities (minderheidsgroepen) believe that those children are possessed by an evil spirit and they go as far as abandoning their children. That's why they have to be rescued by the caretakers of the Children's Home.

Each year...

Volunteers visit the children's home and sometimes they bring letters to the children. Last year, we organized  an exchange. Students sent back letters to Kenya and the students themselves responded to those letters and sent them back. Before we start writing ourselves, which things would you like to learn from the students who live over there?
