Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson you will understand the stages of how an apple grows from a seed to a fruit and be able to put them in order.
Stage 1: The Apple Seed
Every apple starts as a tiny seed, planted in the soil where it begins its journey.
Stage 2: Seedling Grows
The seed grows roots and a shoot appears. A small apple seedling pushes out of the soil.
Stage 3: Growing Into a Tree
The seedling becomes a young tree. It grows leaves and gets stronger each year.
Stage 4: Blossoms Appear
When the tree is ready, flowers called blossoms appear. These are important for making apples.
Stage 5: Tiny Apples Form
After blossoms are pollinated, little green apples begin to grow where the flowers were.
Stage 6: Apples Are Ready to Eat
The apples grow bigger and change colour. Now, they are fully grown and ready to be picked and enjoyed.
