Wat is de volgorde voor een Engelse zin: 
Onderwerp - Werkwoord - Object
Voorbeeld: Charlie bought a new car

Als je een bijwoord moet toevoegen staat deze voor het werkwoord (behalve bij het werkwoord to be). 
Staan er twee werkwoorden in de zin dan staat het bijwoord er tussenin. (Bijwoorden geven vaak aan hoe vaak iets gebeurt.)

Could, Should en Would
Could = Kunnen (beleefde vragen of dingen die KUNNEN gebeuren.)
Should = Moeten (Als je advies/raad geeft)
Would = Willen 

I could have won a million. -> I could not have won that game.
You should do your homework. -> He shouldn't have gone to the beach.
James would like to be a singer. -> James wouldn't be a singer after all.

Question tags zijn korte vragen om een uitspraak te versterken. Je gebruikt in de question tag altijd het werkwoord uit de eerste zin. 
Voorbeeld: We are going to do that, aren't we? 

De question tag is negatief (not) als de eerste zin positief is (zie voorbeeld ▲)
De question tag is positief als de eerste zin negatief (not) is (zie voorbeeld ▼)
