Reading Strategy: Skimming
Skimming: reading a text quickly to get the general idea.

First focus on: title ,subheadings, pictures, graphs etc.

No need to read every word. You may read a few words of every paragraph, perhaps the first and last sentences.

Slide 8 - Mind map

Learn how to scan
Scan the text

Then read the questions

Scan for specific words

Slide 9 - Slide

Scan the text.
Find out what  the text is about, what points do they make in the text.
Then read the questions. Most of the time you only need a global understanding of the text, to answer the questions.
Almost in all cases they will mention certain lines in which you can find the answer to the question. I would suggest that you read those lines carefully and then answer the question.
I would say that it is a waste of your time to thoroughly read the entire text and then continue to the question. Because you might go to overthinking and overreading before you even have had the change to read the questions.
What is intensive reading?
