Voor alle gebeurtenissen die nog plaats moeten vinden.

1. Present Simple

2. Present Continuous

3. am/are/is + going to + hele w.w.
4. will/shall + hele w.w.

will / shall + hele w.w.

1. Voorspelling doen (zonder bewijs, niet zeker): "It will rain tomorrow." - "I'm sure we will have fun at the party!"

2. Als je om informatie vraagt: "How soon will we get the results?"

3. Als je iets voorneemt op DIT moment: "I think I will stay at home tonight."

4. Gebruik 'shall' als je een voorstel doet of naar iemand voorkeur vraagt: "Shall we get something to eat?"

am/are/is + going to + hele w.w.

1. Iets is al gepland. de intentie is er: "In July we're going on holiday to Italy." 

Let op: voor  PERSOONLIJKE AFSPRAKEN die vast staan gebruik je de Present Continuous: "I'm meeting my sister tonight."

2. Voorspelling waar je bewijs voor hebt (zeker):
"Oh look at those clouds! It's going to rain soon." - "My sister is going to have a baby next month."

Present Simple

1. Als er sprake is van vaste tijden (aankomst/vertek/opening/sluiting etc.)

 "The train leaves at 10 p.m." - "The supermarket closes at 6 p.m. today."
