Short answers
Als je in het Engels een ja/nee vraag beantwoordt, zeg je niet alleen 'Ja' of "Nee'. Dit is erg onbeleefd. Je hoeft ook niet de hele zin te beantwoorden. De Engelsen doen het anders!

Vraag:              Did you see the match last night?
Antwoord:     No.                                                                                                        Yes

Antwoord:     No I didn't see the match last night.                                     Yes I saw the match last night

Antwoord:     No I didn't                                                                                          Yes I did

Guessing: past simple questions
I will once again make groups of five or six using the Wheel of Doom
You each get a worksheet. Individually (on your own), guess whether the statements are true or false. Include two statements of your own.

Only then do you ask each other questions to find out whether the statements are true or false.  We will practise some questions before actually beginning. Don't ask who-questions: ask each person in the group individually.

The person who made the highest amount of correct guesses is the winner!

Slide 7 - Slide

Iemand zegt: "at least half the people in our group played a football match last weekend". What do you ask to find out if this is true?

Slide 8 - Open question

Iemand zegt: "everyone in our group was at the party yesterday ". What do you ask to find out if this is true?

Slide 9 - Open question

Iemand zegt: "nobody in our group could swim before they could walk. ". What do you ask to find out if this is true?
