This RP may sometimes be used instead of who (for people) and which (for animals/things).

What is a Gerund?
De gerund is een vorm van het werkwoord (stam + ing) die gebruikt wordt als zelfstandig naamwoord.

Smoking is bad for you!

 a verb (ww) + ing = noun (zelfstandig naamwoord)
We call this: the gerund

shop (verb) + ing = shopping (noun)               = gerund
game (verb) + ing = gaming                                  = gerund
eat (verb) + ing = eating                                            = gerund
